Practice

Yoga is a science with the goal to unite body, mind and heart.
The respected Guru Patanjali documented the eight steps of Yoga as:

1. Yama: Guidance relating to others
2. Niyama: Personal guidance
3. Asanas: Body postures, the physical practice
4. Pranayama: Breathing exercises
5. Pratyahara: Removal of the senses, cultivating inner awareness
6. Dharana: Concentration
7. Dhyana: Devotional Meditation
8. Samadhi: Removal of ignorances (Avidya) & suffering (Dukkha), and Union with the Divine

Yoga entails the practice of self disciplines and morals (Yama & Niyama), a physical practice with the body postures (Asana), breathing exercises (Pranayama), visualizations, focusing techniques and Meditation (Pratyahara & Dharana)
where the only requirement to start is the ability to breathe.

If you can breathe, you can practice Yoga.
Let's explore how to start and maintain a Yoga practice.

  • "Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can." -Arthur Ashe

Yoga is for every Body and flexibility is not required, it's one of the many benefits of the practice.
Yoga doesn't have to start at step 1, most start at step 3 the physical practice, while others Meditation. The Yoga practice is tailored to the individual's needs, goals and accessibility.
Let's connect and explore where you should start.

  • Body postures / Asana

Moving Meditations that dynamically strengthen & stretch, restore and empower body, mind and heart. Offering Classical Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa and Restorative Yoga styles. Personalizing Yoga Asana sequences to the needs, goals and safety of beginners to more practiced students.

  • Breathing techniques / Pranayama

Mindful breathing exercises that calm the mind, reduce anxiety & stress, lower blood pressure, improve focus and prepare for Meditation.

  • Meditation

Finding stillness with focusing and visualization techniques that relax and revitalize. Offering personalized Yoga Nidra Meditations, sixty minutes of Yoga Nidra equates to four hours of rest; as well as seated Meditations.

  • "Practice,
    practice
    & practice."

Growth follows consistent practice.
